Soccer Recap: Desert Ridge Comes Up Short

If Desert Ridge was feeling good fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Skyline last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Desert Ridge Jaguars lost 4-1 to the South Mountain Jaguars on Friday.

Desert Ridge's goal came courtesy of Cole Kasting, which was the first he's scored this season.

Desert Ridge's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-6. As for South Mountain, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Desert Ridge duke it out with the Gilbert at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Mountain, they will head out to challenge Valley Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Mountain is facing Valley Vista at the right time seeing as Valley Vista is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
