Brooklyn Sergent made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Charisma Micco and JoEllen Erskin did most of the damage at the plate: Micco went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Erskin went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Micco has posted since back in March. Khloe Desroche was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fort Meade, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Glades Day with a sharp 15-0 victory on Tuesday.
