Dryden is a perfect 5-0 against Caseville since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Neither Dryden nor Caseville posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Dryden fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Peck on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost three in a row.

Jayden Stankevich was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Gall, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double.

Meanwhile, Caseville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Mayville, falling 15-0.

Caseville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Bond, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Caseville's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Dryden, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Caseville's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Dryden has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Caseville, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Dryden keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?

Dryden skirted past Caseville 2-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
