Basketball Recap: River City Takes a Loss

River City lost against Vanden back in December of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The River City Raiders took a blow against the Vanden Vikings, falling 71-44. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 817th, while the Vikings are ranked 115th).

River City's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-15. As for Vanden, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6.

River City has already played their next contest (against Vacaville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Vanden will take on Christian Brothers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Vanden's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.
