Recap: Pearl River Rebels vs. Lakeshore
After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last four contest, The Pearl River Rebels finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a serious blow against Lakeshore, falling 41-6. Pearl River lost against Lakeshore in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 35-20 score last time.
Lakeshore can attribute much of their success to Oudrey Gros, who rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Beau Bernard was another major influence, as he rushed for 12 yards and ran in a TD.
Pearl River's loss was their third straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 5-3. As for Lakeshore, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pearl River is on the road again on Friday and play against Salmen at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Salmen will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Lakeshore, they will head out on the road to face off against Archbishop Hannan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop Hannan is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
