Bishop Gorman hasn't had much luck against Centennial recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Gaels will host the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Bishop Gorman's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over Silverado. Considering the Gaels have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

MAKAMAE EUGENIO was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, CHARLIE SIMI was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of SAMANTHA LEFEVER, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Bishop Gorman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Centennial not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31st (when they won 14-2). Everything went their way against Desert Oasis as they made off with a 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Diamondbacks: they've now won seven in a row.
The result came thanks to Lily Fournier's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up 11 Ks.
At the plate, Centennial got a massive performance out of Valeria Lopez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that Lopez has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Hailey Smith, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Bishop Gorman is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Bishop Gorman hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Centennial struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
