Basketball Recap: Glendale Adventist Comes Up Short

Glendale Adventist was the 57-44 winner over San Fernando Valley Academy when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Glendale Adventist Cougars came up short against the San Fernando Valley Academy Huskies on Tuesday, falling 72-51. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-23.

Blake McLennan had a dynamite game for San Fernando Valley Academy, going 6 for 10 en route to 17 points along with five boards and five steals. Luka Pizarro was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Glendale Adventist dropped their record down to 7-9 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for San Fernando Valley Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Glendale Adventist Cougars duke it out with the de Toledo Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for San Fernando Valley Academy, they will welcome Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
