Volleyball Recap: Jonesville Comes Up Short

Jonesville managed to slip by Manchester the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Comets lost 3-0 to the Flying Dutchmen on Tuesday. The Comets just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Manchester scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-20.

Morgan Wood paced Jonesville's offense, picking up eight kills. Wood got some help from Olivia Babcock and her ten assists. Finally, Wood was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Jonesville now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Manchester, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-7-3.

Jonesville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Columbia Central on the 9th. As for Manchester, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Leslie on the 9th.
