Ava Louk posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. She struck out 17 batters over nine innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off one hit, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Louk and South Harrison will face off against Ritchie County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks haven't beaten the Rebels recently, having gone 0-4 since April of 2024.
