Recap: Claremore Christian Warriors vs. Mingo Valley Christian Eagles
After a string of three wins, the Claremore Christian Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Mingo Valley Christian by a score of 29-26. The match was a 11-11 toss-up at halftime, but Claremore Christian was outscored by Mingo Valley Christian in the second.
Despite the loss, Claremore Christian had strong showings from Sophie Blair, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three steals, and Hannah Gebhardt, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. Blair hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games.
Claremore Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5. As for Mingo Valley Christian, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Claremore Christian on the road again on Friday and play against Wright Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Wright Christian is ranked 306th, while Claremore Christian is ranked 296th). As for Mingo Valley Christian, they will be playing at home against KIPP Tulsa University Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
