St. Christopher took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Collegiate, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Saints had just enough and edged out the Cougars 6-5. While the Saints didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Christopher's and bumps their season record up to 8-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Collegiate, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Coming up, Collegiate will challenge Deep Run at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Christopher's will be paying especially close attention to the Cougars' game: after the Cougars faces off against the Wildcats, they'll take on St. Christopher's again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
