Mission's leading rusher did his thing again on Thursday. Richard Acevedo rushed for 83 yards on only seven carries, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He is becoming a predictor of Mission's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Acevedo and Mission will venture away from home to square off against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th. The matchup will pit Acevedo up against the Raiders' star RB Ethan Guerra. Will the contest be decided in the trenches? We'll have our answer very soon.
