Basketball Recap: Crossett Comes Up Short

Crossett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monticello Billies. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-34 back in November of 2024.

Crossett's record is now 2-19. As for Monticello, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.

Crossett will challenge Star City at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th. Monticello has already played their next match (against Hamburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
