            Softball Recap: Greene County Wildcats vs. Ocean Springs Greyhounds        
        
		
        
        
            Greene County took a 14-run  loss the last time they faced off against Ocean Springs, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Greene County Wildcats won by a  run and slipped past the Ocean Springs Greyhounds  9-8. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Greyhounds  last Friday, they had to take a  14-0  defeat.

 Erin Meadows was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  six  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Shanna Johnson, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Meadows wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Greene County  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Greene County's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Ocean Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
 We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. As for Ocean Springs, they will take on Satsuma in a tournament  on Saturday. Ocean Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7  runs per game  this season.
