It was a good run, but Shawano Community unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mosinee Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 12-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Shawano Community saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Wachtel, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Shawano Community's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Mosinee, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Shawano Community and Mosinee will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Hawks are set to challenge their familiar foe West De Pere at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mosinee will face off against rival Medford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
