Softball Preview: Elysian Fields Yellowjackets vs. Harleton Wildcats

Elysian Fields has gone 8-2 against Harleton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will host the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Elysian Fields will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Taylor Youngblood made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Like Elysian Fields, Harleton also got a great game from a two-way player: Annabelle Green. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Green was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Green wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Skaggs, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Harleton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-21-1. As for Elysian Fields, they now have a winning record of 16-15-1.
