After a string of seven wins, Monmouth Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hall-Dale Bulldogs. The Mustangs lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 61-30 score last time.

Monmouth Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Hall-Dale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monmouth Academy has already played their next matchup (against Richmond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hall-Dale will challenge Waynflete at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waynflete has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Hall-Dale will come in with three straight wins.
