Batesburg-Leesville is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will head out to challenge the American Leadership Academy Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Batesburg-Leesville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for American Leadership Academy's offense. They came up short against Strom Thurmond on Friday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Batesburg-Leesville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. American Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
