Baseball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Northwest lost against Mamou back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Northwest took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mamou. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brayden Batiste made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Ty Savoy was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Mamou, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest will challenge Breaux Bridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mamou, they will square off against Iota at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
