It was a good run, but New Lothrop unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Mt. Morris Panthers, falling 9-2. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Hornets couldn't push the score so high this time.

New Lothrop saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Judd, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

New Lothrop's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Mt. Morris, their record is now 6-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: New Lothrop beat the Panthers by a score of 11-4 later that day.
