Basketball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 60-51 to the Brazosport Exporters. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Roughnecks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-64 back in December of 2024.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Brazosport, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wharton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brazosport, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Sweeny at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
