Football Game Preview: Masuk Panthers vs. Killingly Trailbazers + How To Watch

After each having a week off, the Masuk Panthers and the Killingly Trailbazers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Masuk put up the most points they have all season last Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-7 victory over New Milford. With the Panthers ahead 49-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Masuk's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aaron Champagne, who threw for 215 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, and Michael Charland, who gained 101 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Champagne a new career-high in passer rating (163.2).

Meanwhile, Killingly humbled New London with a 62-6 victory. That 56 point margin sets a new team best for the Trailbazers this season.

The win got Masuk back to even at 2-2. As for Killingly, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Masuk took their win against Killingly in their previous matchup back in September of 2023 by a conclusive 43-20 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trailbazers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
