Basketball Recap: Pasadena Memorial Comes Up Short

Pasadena Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 52-36 bruising from the South Houston Trojans. The Mavericks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Pasadena Memorial still got an impressive performance from Emma Reeves, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards. That's the most points Reeves has posted since back in November of 2024.

Pasadena Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for South Houston, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Pasadena Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-44 victory against Sam Rayburn on the 7th. As for South Houston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 61-40 loss against Shadow Creek on the 7th.
