Baseball Game Preview: Foothill Knights vs. Cypress Centurions

The Foothill Knights will take on the Cypress Centurions at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Foothill 2, Cypress 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Foothill is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering El Dorado just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 6-1 to the Golden Hawks.

Foothill got a good showing from Grady Wright, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wright has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Foothill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Green, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Cypress didn't have quite enough to beat Villa Park on Friday and fell 5-3.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Cypress, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
