Softball Recap: Lompoc Comes Up Short

Lompoc was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Independence Falcons.

Teagan Thompson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Independence, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Coming up, Lompoc will be taking part in a tournament against Taft at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Independence, they will head out to challenge Tulare Union at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
