Softball Game Preview: Greenville Green Wave vs. Western Brown Broncos

The Greenville Green Wave will face off against the Western Brown Broncos at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Greenville comes in on three and Western Brown on five.

Greenville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand New Richmond a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Western Brown made easy work of Ross on Wednesday and carried off an 8-2 victory. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by six runs or more this season.

Greenville's win bumped their record up to 26-2. As for Western Brown, their victory bumped their record up to 24-3.

Everything went Greenville's way against Western Brown in their previous meeting back in May of 2017, as Greenville made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Green Wave since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
