Basketball Recap: Nanakuli Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nanakuli can now relate to. They took a blow against the Kahuku Red Raiders on Monday, falling 77-41. The Golden Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-17.

Kahuku got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kash Daley out in front who went 7 for 10 to rack up 19 points in addition to six assists and six boards. Another player making a difference was Ronin Naihe, who went 9 of 20 en route to 22 points.

Nanakuli's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Kahuku, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Nanakuli nor Kahuku have any future games scheduled.
