Basketball Game Preview: Cobre Indians vs. Socorro Warriors

Cobre hasn't had much luck against Socorro recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cobre Indians will face off against the Socorro Warriors at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Cobre came up short against Hot Springs and fell 56-45. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Socorro came into Tuesday's game having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 51-47 victory over Hatch Valley on Tuesday.

Cobre's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Socorro, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-16.

Cobre came up short against Socorro in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 59-47. Can Cobre avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
