Softball Game Preview: Seneca Red Hawks vs. Sacred Heart Valkyries

Seneca hasn't had much luck against Sacred Heart recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Red Hawks are taking a road trip to face off against the Valkyries at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Seneca's last matchup with Waggener could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match back in March. The Red Hawks lost 19-9 to the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Sacred Heart's offense. They fell 5-0 to Nelson County on Monday. The Valkyries just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Sacred Heart saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Boyd, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base. Brigid McConville also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Sacred Heart's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Seneca, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
