The Carlsbad Lancers will face off against the Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carlsbad is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Carlsbad is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Pacific Ridge by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-18, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Academy of Our Lady of Peace had just enough and edged out Point Loma 3-2 on Friday.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace wouldn't go down easily and took Point Loma into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-12, 20-25, 25-19, 15-9.

Carlsbad's record is now 23-8. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, their record now sits at 17-10.

Carlsbad skirted past Academy of Our Lady of Peace 2-1 when the teams last played back in September. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Pilots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
