It was a good run, but Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Highland Hornets by a score of 4-3.

Shaye Tepley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bianca Czarnecki was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Highland, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-14 record.
