The Covenant Day Lions will head out to take on the Carmel Christian Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Covenant Day is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Covenant Day was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 67-63 to Nation Ford. The Lions were up 19-4 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Despite their loss, Covenant Day saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Douglas Smith, who posted eight points and ten rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Micah Huffman, who went 6-for-11 en route to 18 points.

Meanwhile, Carmel Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Providence Day on Friday and fell 57-54.

Carmel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Covenant Day, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Covenant Day came up short against Carmel Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 55-47. Thankfully for the Lions, Chandler Kennedy (who shot 67% from the field to rack up 23 points and five boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
