Basketball Recap: Jackson Cosentino Key Part of a Team Effort in Raiders Win

After losing to Walker the last time they met, Archbishop Rummel decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went the Archbishop Rummel Raiders' way against the Walker Wildcats on Friday as the Archbishop Rummel Raiders made off with a 59-39 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Archbishop Rummel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Cosentino out in front who posted 20 points and four steals. That's the most points Cosentino has posted since back in November of 2023. Grant Latino was another key player, going 6 of 12 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Archbishop Rummel's record is now 4-1. As for Walker, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Archbishop Rummel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-40 win against Kennedy on the 10th. As for Walker, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Plaquemine at 5:30 p.m. on December 17th.
