Softball Recap: Plainview Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Plainview had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They beat the Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 19-2. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Plainview's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Gibsland-Coleman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Plainview will venture away from home to square off against Harrisonburg at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. Gibsland-Coleman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
