Basketball Recap: Helix Comes Up Short

Helix lost against Steele Canyon back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Helix Highlanders fell to the Steele Canyon Cougars 58-54. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Helix's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Steele Canyon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Helix will venture away from home to challenge Mount Miguel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Miguel knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Helix likes a good challenge. As for Steele Canyon, they are taking a road trip to face off against Monte Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
