The Hillsboro Indians will venture away from home to challenge the Goshen Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hillsboro barely beat Westfall the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Camryn Spruell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabelle Brunck, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Addie Huff was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Goshen got the win against Batavia on Wednesday by a conclusive 6-0.
The result came thanks to Kenzie Durbin's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks.
At the plate, Charlize Schulz and Josie Purdy did most of the damage at the plate: Schulz went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Purdy went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits Schulz has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Campbell, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Goshen kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Hillsboro pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Goshen, their record now sits at 10-6.
Hillsboro's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's match. The Indians have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Goshen, though, as they've been averaging only 0.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Hillsboro continue to outrun the ball?
