Holy Cross takes loss despite strong efforts from Kiandra Cirlos and Jenna Arugello

Recap: Holy Cross Knights vs. John Paul II Guardians
After a string of four wins, the Holy Cross Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 59-52 to John Paul II. The game was a 28-28 toss-up at halftime, but Holy Cross couldn't quite close it out.
Holy Cross' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jenna Arugello, who scored 16 points, and Kiandra Cirlos who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Emma Garcia, who scored eight points.
Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for John Paul II, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.
Holy Cross will take on Texas School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. John Paul II does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
