Softball Recap: Pleasant Grove Falls Short Against Ranked Lehi

Pleasant Grove faced Lehi in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Vikings lost 12-3 to the Pioneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings have suffered since April 8, 2024.

Aniston Norton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

Pleasant Grove's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 17-6. As for Lehi, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

Pleasant Grove wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-6 win against Maple Mountain on the 30th. As for Lehi, they will host Skyridge at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight.
