Volleyball Recap: Andrew Burke and Owen Griffiths Secure Win for Grassfield + How To Watch

Grassfield proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Hickory Hawks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Grizzlies have posted since September 18th.

Grassfield wouldn't go down easily and took Hickory into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-23, 25-14, 17-25, 15-11.

Leading Grassfield to victory were Owen Griffiths and Andrew Burke. Griffiths had 19 digs and two assists, while Burke had 21 kills, seven digs, and one block. Burke is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least six every time he's taken the court this season.

Grassfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Hickory, they moved to 11-6 with that loss, which also ended their seven-match winning streak.
