Pennington proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Colbert Heights Wildcats 5-4. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Camdon Fields got the start for Pennington and what a start it was: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Gibson Posey came in to relieve Fields and was airtight, giving up no runs, hits or walks in his an inning pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Timmerman, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Butler, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Pennington's record now sits at 7-3. As for Colbert Heights, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Pennington wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-8 defeat against Elkmont on the 19th. Colbert Heights has also already played their next contest (against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
