Xavier had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Washington Warriors a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Lancers have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Xavier's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Washington, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.
