Recap: St. Thomas Episcopal Saints vs. Trinity Christian Lions
Even though the Trinity Christian Lions scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, the St. Thomas Episcopal Saints still came out on top. St. Thomas Episcopal took their contest against Trinity Christian 73-61. This was payback for St. Thomas Episcopal, who suffered a 69-61 defeat the last time these two teams met.
St. Thomas Episcopal got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiden Law out in front who scored 26 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Law has scored at least 25% of St. Thomas Episcopal's points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Law, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds.
St. Thomas Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Trinity Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4.
St. Thomas Episcopal will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Empowering Others Prep at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Empowering Others Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully St. Thomas Episcopal likes a good challenge. As for Trinity Christian, they will be playing at home against Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 556th, while Trinity Christian is ranked 65th).
