Softball Recap: Middleburgh Takes a Loss

Middleburgh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-5 to the Canajoharie Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 14-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Middleburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Canajoharie, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Middleburgh will head out to square off against Duanesburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Canajoharie, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Fort Plain at 4:30 p.m.
