Denbigh proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Phoebus Phantoms, sneaking past 19-18. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 20-0 victory the Phantoms walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.
Denbigh let Olivia Barrett and Savannah Daniels run wild. Barrett went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Daniels went 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Daniels has posted since back in April of 2024. Arrionna DeBoise was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Denbigh's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Phoebus: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
