Basketball Recap: Harris County's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Harris County came into Monday's contest having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Springwood Wildcats on Monday, sneaking past 45-42. The win was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 546th in Georgia, while the Wildcats are ranked 206th in Alabama).

Harris County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Springwood, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Harris County will head out on the road to challenge Griffin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Springwood will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Edgewood Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
