Volleyball Recap: Galeton Comes Up Short

Galeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Sayre Redskins, falling 3-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redskins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

While Galeton had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-21.

Galeton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sayre, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Galeton will venture away from home to challenge Cameron County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sayre, they will face off against Wyalusing Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
