Basketball Recap: Ramsey Comes Up Short

Ramsey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 35-28 to the Sandoval Blackhawks. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blackhawks earlier this season, when they won 35-27.

Despite the defeat, Ramsey saw an underclassman step up: freshman Anna Benhoff dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Benhoff also set a new season-high mark in shooting accuracy with 50%.

Ramsey's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sandoval, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Ramsey has already played their next game, a 35-24 defeat against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City on the 28th. As for Sandoval, they will welcome Elverado at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
