Basketball Recap: Mercer Island Comes Up Short

Mercer Island lost against Eastside Catholic back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mercer Island Islanders took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastside Catholic Crusaders.

When it comes to explaining why Mercer Island lost, don't look at Anna Marsh. Despite the final result, she to rack up 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara Stowe, who posted six points along with nine boards and three blocks.

Mercer Island's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Eastside Catholic, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

Mercer Island wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-59 defeat against Bellevue on the 21st. As for Eastside Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-37 loss against Lakeside on the 20th.
