Basketball Recap: Mira Mesa Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Mira Mesa had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the San Dimas Saints on Tuesday, sneaking past 60-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Marauders have posted since January 28th.

Diego Ortiz continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9-for-13 en route to 24 points along with five assists and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Mira Mesa's points. Tim Dorn was another key player, putting up 14 points and six boards.

Mira Mesa is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for San Dimas and nudges their season record down to 20-13.

Mira Mesa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-56 win against Birmingham on the 6th. San Dimas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
