Basketball Game Preview: Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints vs. Christchurch School Seahorses

Having just played yesterday, the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints will get right back to it and host the Christchurch School Seahorses at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Christchurch School likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy beat Norfolk Christian 77-64.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy found their leader in sophomore Madden Gilliatt, who went 11 for 15 on his way to 25 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The contest was Gilliatt's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of KJ Pidgeon, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Christchurch School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Norfolk Academy, falling 62-41.

The win got Nansemond-Suffolk Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Christchurch School, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and Christchurch School were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but Nansemond-Suffolk Academy came up empty-handed after a 48-47 loss.
